Italian FM: IOF Mass Punishment to Gaza Residents against Annapolis Spirit

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Massimo D"alema, saw that the mass punishment and starvation practiced by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) against besieged citizens of Gaza Strip " fully  contradict with the spirit of Annapolis conference, and that the world can not understands them".
 
D"alema said in statements to Italian TV networks on the sidelines of the Five Plus Five meeting in Rabat:"The mass punishment conducted by IOF against Gaza Strip " can not be understood by the international public opinion".
 
He described the inhumane situations due to the blockade as " a very bad situation", calling Israel to " adopt an attitude that goes in line with the spirit of last Fall"s US-sponsored Annapolis conference" which aimed to breathe a new life into the stalled peace process.
 
He said also that the deteriorating and inhumane conditions suffocating Gaza citizens worried the foreign ministers of the ten European and Arab countries assembled today in Rabat.
 
D"alema pointed out that the continuous IOF operations in the Gaza Strip left more than 170 victims, including many Palestinian unarmed civilians.
