Muslim Brotherhood holds their annual Iftar in the attendance of Egyptian, Arabian, and Turkish elite

The Muslim Brotherhood held its annual Ramadan Iftar for 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey, in the attendance of elite politicians, media personnel, and public figures of the Egyptian, Arabian, and Turkish communities.

Leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, led by Mr. Ibrahim Munir, Deputy General Guide and acting director, were in the reception of the attendees. Munir welcomed everyone in his speech, celebrating the holy month and reviewing the history of the Brotherhood and the vast prices it has been paying amongst its people to pursue its calling and go back to the divine laws set by Allah.

Munir continued to highlight the solidarity of the Egyptian community before the injustices, tyranny, and human rights violations; and spoke about the murder of the leading Imam Al-Banna in 1949 and his funeral that no one has attended but his father and his Christian friend: Makram Ebied.

Mr. Ibrahim Munir asserted in his speech the loyalty to our religion, values, people, and countries, and promised to put more effort into the Brotherhood's capacity building forwards, the review of past experiences, and enabling the Brotherhood's youth.

The Deputy General Guide has also asked the attendees to pray for the honorable martyrs and especially Mr. President Morsi. He has set an example seldomly seen in putting his people first, protecting the legitimacy of his position, and bearing the consequences of fulfilling the oath he made.

In addition, Mr. Munir has addressed the detainees and their families of all political affiliations with the utmost respect and appreciation, promising not to spare any efforts to relieve them and have them return to their lives safely soon.

In conclusion of his speech, his excellency thanked the Republic of Turkey, its president, and the people for the generous reception of everyone who asked for refuge after their safety was hindered in their own countries.
