Dr. Salah Abdel-Haq's Congratulations to Muslims on the Advent of Eid Al-Adha
In the name of Allah; praise be to Him; and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his kinsfolk, companions, and followers:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
La Ilaha Illa Allah
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa lillahil Hamd
(Allah is the Greatest (3 times); There is no god but Allah. Allah is the Greatest (2 times) and to Allah all praises belong.)
On the occasion of the advent of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), the Muslim Brotherhood has the pleasure to congratulate peoples and governments of the whole Muslim world on the happy Eid. May Allah bring it back to us all again and again, along with prosperity and blessings. We also sincerely pray to Allah Almighty to bestow freedom, justice, progress and prosperity on the peoples of our Muslim nation and enable Muslims to restore their due role and position to convey Heaven’s message to all mankind.
Brothers and Sisters: The blessed day of Eid al-Adha comes to complete the first ten days of the holy month of Dhul Hijjah, and to conclude a season of obedience, in which good deeds are dearest to Allah Almighty than all other days, including zikr, prayers, fasting, and giving alms (to the needy); only to please Allah Almighty. Eid al-Adha is the day of sacrifice and charity; and it is the greatest pilgrimage day, where pilgrims say Talbiyah; throw the (small) stones (at a pillar); sacrifice animals; perform Tawaf (around the Kaaba) and Sa’i (walking between Safa and Marwa); and shave (their heads), hoping in winning Allah Almighty’s forgiveness and approval.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa lillahil Hamd
“Allahu Akbar” is the hymn of Eid that our tongues rejoice in, that leads to our spiritual uplift. "Allahu Akbar " is the call to prayers for the believers. "Allahu Akbar" is support to the patient and security to the fearful. "Allahu Akbar" is the chant of the conquerors. Therefore, a Muslim should always repeat “Allahu Akbar” all the time. “Allahu Akbar”, that is “Allah is greater” than all his creatures; He is greater than what we may fear and beware. Allah is greater than everything that may come to mind. And Allah is higher and more glorious than every arrogant and exalted (of his creatures). These are just some of the meanings of “Allahu Akbar”; therefore we should keep repeating it; and adorn our hearts with.

Brothers and Sisters: we worship Allah with our joys and sorrows, despite our great pains and deep sorrows for our own conditions and the conditions of our nation; and our afflictions in ourselves, our money, our families and our brothers, it is noble to make Eid an occasion for joy, where we bring joy to the hearts of our children, our relatives, our families, and those for whom we owe; for joy is a worship just as patience is worship. The rights of our brothers the detainees are the most imperative rights in this regard; so, we should keep praying for them and checking on their families and children.
Brothers and Sisters: Obedience to Allah Almighty's commands and realization of piety are the greatest fruits of Eid and Hajj rituals. Such acts of worship involve patience, hardship and sacrifice. Allah Almighty says: "It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him..." (Al-Hajj: 37). "So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can; listen and obey; and spend in charity, that is better for yourselves..." (Al-Taghabun: 16). And show Allah your good deeds, obedience and compliance; and increase your supplication to Him along with your good deeds, so that He may change our current situation to a better one, for He is All-Hearing and Responsive.
