MB: We Appreciate Hamas’s Political Resilience in Support of Its Popular Incubator

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) appreciates the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas’s positive response to the Egyptian-Qatari proposal regarding the ceasefire negotiations and prisoner swap; and views it as a positive political action to the movement leadership’s credit, in order to achieve the interests of the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian people, and in respect of the political mediators and the agreement guarantors, regardless of the occupying entity’s attitude towards the proposal.

This move reaffirms trust in the movement’s performance and leadership at the planning, political, and field levels, in defence of the rights of the Palestinian people. Taking this step, they excused themselves to the mediators and partners, as they did not let down their efforts and endeavours. They also excused themselves to the proud people of Palestine, by working to attain the interests of the Palestinian cause and achieve the objectives of the war.

The Brotherhood stresses that (the entity’s) rejection of this agreement would mean moving towards new massacres in the city of Rafah and committing greater humanitarian crimes and tragedies than ever before, which once again imposes challenges on the international community, so that it would work to end the war, curb the arrogance of its leaders and restrain their exaggeration and enthusiasm, accelerate their prosecution, and issue arrest warrants against them – to restore some of the international justice prestige that has been wasted.
