Acting MB General Guide’s Congratulations Marking The First Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah

Brothers and Sisters,

On the advent of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, it is pleasure for me to extend my warmest congratulations and sincere supplications to you and to all the peoples of our Muslim nation, asking Allah Almighty to make us among those who hasten in performance of acts of obedience during these blessed ten days. 

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than on these days," referring to the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. They said: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?" He said: "Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, except that of a man who goes out (to Jihad) with his self and his property but returns with none of them." 

On this glorious occasion, we cannot help but urge our brothers and sisters to do a lot of dhikr (remembrance of Allah), supplication, fasting, performance of voluntary prayers, recitation of the holy Quran, keenness on performance of prayers in the mosque, giving Sadaqah (charity), and showing acts of obedience. 

We hope that you will give our people stationed in Palestine, and our brothers detained in Egypt and everywhere, a share in your prayers and giving and in all our duties towards them. May Allah Almighty support them, relieve them from the distress they are experiencing, and grant us all an imminent victory in which Islam and Muslims will be glorified. I also pray to Allah Almighty to accept our good deeds, both from us and you; and may He make these days come back to you while you are in the best conditions.
