Martyr Leader Sinwar Drew the Path, Shattered the Myth, and Passed Away

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) mourns with great sadness and sorrow Martyr Leader Yahya Sinwar, who ascended to his Lord as a martyr in the blessed Al-Aqsa Flood battle, thus joining the ranks of the Al-Aqsa martyrs, after a victorious jihad against the foremost oppressive, unjust and arrogant powers on earth.

This is how the outcome of jihad for the sake of Allah and the confrontation of enemies is either victory or martyrdom for the sake of Allah Almighty, as the soul is never too dear to be sacrificed for the sake of its Creator. Allah Almighty says in Surat Al-Imran: ﴾Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So, if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.﴿ (Al-Imran: 144).

On the path of jihad, a leader hands over the flag to a new leader to raise it high, as the flag of jihad never falls in a nation that seeks glory. From Izz ad-Din al-Qassam to Hassan Al-Banna , Ahmed Yassin, Abdel-Aziz al-Rantisi, and others, the jihad of predecessors is light, fire and a revolution that ignites the blood in the veins of the believers. And this is what Allah Almighty has decreed, as He says ﴾ If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers.﴿ (Al-Imran: 140).

O Abu Ibrahim, rest in peace, as you have fulfilled your duty towards your Lord. You made promises for Palestine and fulfilled them; and you threatened your enemy and did well in confronting it. You have also created glory for Palestine throughout the world, something that had not existed before the Al-Aqsa Flood. Blessed, alive and dead, O Abu Ibrahim; and may the arms and determination of the men who humiliated the aggressive Zionists and rubbed their noses in the dirt, be blessed.

It suffices that you faced your enemy on the front lines of the battle and were killed during a random clash with the enemy forces without them knowing that they were facing you. It suffices you and your brothers that you humiliated the enemy and rubbed its nose in the dirt, and fully erased the myth of the invincible enemy from history records. It also suffices that you dropped the scales from the nation's eyes; distinguished enemies from friends; exposed the traitors, hypocrites and conspirators from among leaders, armies and fifth column; and left the conflict as clear as the sun at noon.

O Abu Ibrahim, your martyrdom after Ismail Haniyeh and the group of righteous martyrs, places a duty upon all the children of the nation to rush to the aid of Al-Aqsa and the liberation of Palestine, each based on his ability. Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “He who dies without having gone or thought of going out for Jihad in the Cause of Allah, will die while being guilty of having one of the qualities of hypocrisy.” (Related by Muslim).

If Sinwar dies, let every individual in the Muslim nation be a new Sinwar, each in his position. The flag must not fall while our nation has a beating heart; So, act and strive, then be optimistic about Allah’s victory, for victory is coming without fail. Let the jihad be the talk of the soul and the action of the limbs, asking ourselves what we can offer in order to support the religion of Allah, support Palestine, support every martyr who ascended to Heavens, and also support every wounded person in pain.

O guardians of Al-Aqsa and the youth of truth in Palestine, we say to you: What you may hate is what you came out seeking; it is either victory or martyrdom, and Allah is your supporter and backer. O proud and steadfast people of Palestine, here is the blood of the leaders purifying the path of jihad and refuting the claims of the disappointers and alarmists.

In this situation, we cannot but offer condolences to ourselves, the people of Palestine, and the entire Muslim nation on the martyrdom of the mujahid leader Yahia Sinwar. Congratulations to Sinwar for meeting Allah Almighty, and also for meeting his beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions. However, we will only say what pleases our Lord; praise be to Allah. ﴾ … But give good tidings to the patient. Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return".﴿ (Al-Baqarah: 155-156)
