Assault on the right to demonstrate for Palestine is support for the genocide in Gaza

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the arrest of leaders and activists who had demonstrated in support of Gaza in the Jordanian capital, Amman, including several leaders of the Islamic Action Front Party, the Muslim Brotherhood, and a number of young activists.

The MB views protests as the narrowest form of expression that a regime can afford its people, undertaking a duty that governments have failed to fulfill towards the Palestinian people.

The Brotherhood calls on the Jordanian authorities to take the right side in the conflict. It also calls on all  ِArab governments to unleash freedom of expression and demonstration in support of a people that is being annihilated on their land; so that governments should not be used to silence people who express their rejection of the aggression; or complicit in the genocide being perpetrated by the occupation in the Gaza Strip.

May Allah Almighty protect Jordan and its people, as supporters and defenders of the Palestinian cause.
