On First Anniversary of Martyrdom of Mujahid Leader Mohammed Deif “Abu Khaled”
The first anniversary of the ascension (to martyrdom) of the great military commander mujahid leader Mohammed Deif “Abu Khaled”, the chief of staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades; and the enemy is still fighting a battle to regain its prestige, which was squandered at the hands of the heroes of the victorious Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, where Deif was one of its icons.
This great martyr spent his life serving the Palestinian cause, and wrote and fulfilled an epic of heroism, sacrifice, and redemption, which always pained enemy and exhausted its security and military services, making him a living legend in the memory of the Palestinian resistance and the Islamic nation.
A year has passed since your departure, you commander, while the echo of your name still inflames the hearts of resistors and inspires the free people of Palestine and the entire nation with the image of the hoped-for victory.
Rest in peace, Abu Khaled, for you have set an example and created a model, leaving heroes that follow in your footsteps and carry the trust of victory with hearts that believe in Allah and in their right to freedom and independence, and with a strong will and unyielding arms.
You were not just a military commander, but a project of comprehensive resistance, an icon of resilience in a time of complacency, and a voice of dignity in the face of psychological defeat.
You, commander, lived as a persecuted person, faced seven assassination attempts, and endured physical wounds and the ordeal of loss without retreating, compromising, or weakening.
As we, in the Muslim Brotherhood, commemorate this immortal anniversary, we greet our brothers in the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance – Hamas, and all those who continue getting on together on the path of jihad.
We also affirm that the memory of great leaders does not fade away with death but rather blossoms into victory and produces men, on the paths of honor and dignity.
Peace be upon you Abu Khaled in illiyyin (the highest heavens); and peace be upon those who were honest and preceded on the path of martyrdom; and peace be upon those who have carried the flag after them ﴾ …And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration. ﴿ (Al-Ahzab: 23)
