Two Years Since the “Flood” That Has Awakened the World's Conscience Towards Palestine
Today marks the second anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, that momentous event that radiated from Gaza like light amidst darkness, and like lightning in the dark night of oppression – as it has awakened the cinder of jihad within the nation, inflamed the emotions toward the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and inspired those who are highly-motivated and committed to the mission to understand how to act for liberation and how to be determined to do so.
Two years have passed since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and its roar still haunts the human conscience, reminding the world that Palestine is a cause that cannot be forgotten, no matter how powerful and tyrannical the enemy is, or how many illusions of normalization and peace it spreads. Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has proved that Palestine has a people rooted in their land, who accept no alternative, cling to their rights without compromise, and are loyal to their religion and nation and faithful to its sanctities.
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has revealed that the strong never remain strong, and the weak never remain weak. It also exposed the imbalance of power, and that brute force, devoid of truth and morality, can wreak havoc, but it cannot bring about victory. It has also revealed that faith in Allah, the One and Almighty, and in truth and duty – no matter how weak the forces – can produce miracles. The resilience of the Gaza's heroes for two years is proof of this. It has also been proven that the morals of believers, in peace and war, captivate hearts and dazzle the eyes. Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has achieved for Palestine a precious triumph beyond the battlefield, attaining a status it had never attained before.
Day after day, countries and governments increasingly side with Palestine. The masses have chanted its name, believing in the justice of its cause and the nobility and purity of its path and purpose. Meanwhile, the walls of isolation are getting taller against the usurping entity day after day, heralding its imminent demise. While the front of this entity's supporters is cracking, alliances are forming to support the Palestinian cause.
Two years of jihad have passed, and the people of ‘ribat’ (those standing in guard of the nation’s borderlines) are facing the most powerful forces on earth with great courage, patience, and faith. ﴾…But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.﴿ (Al Imran: 146). Two years of a back-and-forth state: a blow for a blow; ﴾ If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people….﴿ (Al Imran: 140); and pain for pain ﴾ ,,,If you should be suffering - so are they suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allah that which they expect not...﴿ (Al-Nisa: 104). And here, O people of ‘ribat’, the world stands in anticipation and amazement awaiting your word, and this is a kind of victory.
Two years have passed, and the official position of the Arab and Islamic nations has fallen short of their duty and the aspirations of their people. The peoples of the Islamic world are burning with pain over the blood being shed on Palestine’s soil every day, while they are prevented from supporting their brothers. They are also burning with longing for the complete liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It is time for the Arab world to realize that the danger of expansion and occupation is imminent, that the “Israeli” enemy is lurking, and that resistance is the safety valve. If it is lost, their security will be lost, and destruction will spread.
Our hope is for a better tomorrow, in which the forces of the nation, all the vital forces of the international community, and the free people of the world will unite to support Gaza, end its siege, and provide it with all forms of political, economic, and military support.
The aggression has not stopped even after two years; and even if a truce is achieved, it is only a respite for the people of ‘ribat’. As for us, we have a duty to work tirelessly to strengthen the people and the resistance. Meanwhile, everyone has a duty to win the battle of awareness and mobilize support for this just cause against the propaganda machine in favor of the genocide, the machine that justifies crimes against humanity.
Peace be upon the martyrs of the Al-Aqsa Flood, for they wrote the first line of the liberation march with their own blood, raising the Palestine's name high. And peace be upon the people of ‘ribat’, as they have patiently endured and continue to endure all these hardships.
In conclusion, we pray to Allah Almighty to hasten the bestowal of a precious victory upon the nation, and we trust in Allah that the wait for this victory will not be long. ﴾…And that day the believers will rejoice. In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.﴿ (Al-Rum: 4-5)
