MB: A Profitable Trade, O Abu Obaida! A Profitable Trade, O Martyr Leaders!
﴾Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise...﴿ (Al-Tawbah: 111).
On the path of martyrs, a host of senior commanders at the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas, have been martyred, particularly the martyr commander Hudhayfah Al-Kahlout, former spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, known as “Abu Obeida”. Other martyr commanders who have ascended to heavens were: the senior commander Mohammed Sinwar, the al-Qassam Brigades’ chief of staff; the senior commander Mohammed Shabana, commander of the Rafah Brigade; the senior commander Hakam Al-Issa, commander of weapons and combat services (overseeing training, logistics, and force buildup); the senior commander Raed Saad, commander of military manufacturing division – those who registered pages of heroism with their blood, forced the enemy and humiliated their pride.
In fact, the news of Abu Obeida’s martyrdom had a profound impact on the entire Muslim nation. This masked man embodied the meaning of selflessness, even regarding his name and face, to paint a picture of the resisting Palestine with his words and face mask.
Palestine’s true voice – the voice of the roaring Al-Aqsa Flood – has ascended to heavens. That voice, long awaited by hearts clinging to the hopes of victory, feeling the pulse of his words, and breathing the air of pride, valor, and dignity in their rhythm and cadence. Those words that shimmered with the light of faith, adorned with verses from the holy Quran, connecting earth to heaven, and comforting hearts weary with pain and hope for Allah's imminent victory.
In this regard, we would like to emphasize that the departure of the five martyr commanders is but a continuation of the martyrs' journey on the path of the liberation of Palestine. Allah Almighty says: ﴾And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.﴿ (Al-Imran: 146). In fact, great hopes deserve equally great sacrifices, noting that resistance for the liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque is legitimate under international laws and norms.
Peace be upon the martyrs who have already departed, peace be upon those who await, and peace be upon the patient and steadfast people of Gaza. I pray to Allah Almighty to grant them peace and security from Him and to spread His mercy upon them. Those (the Gaza people) who have been afflicted by hardship, exhausted by the suffocating siege, and by the injustice and betrayal of their closest kinship. Allah Almighty says: ﴾…But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful.﴿ (Al-Maidah: 52)
In conclusion, the MB sends its sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers to the brotherly people, their leaders and factions, on the passing of the loyal commanders, praying to Allah Almighty to accept them among the martyrs, and to grant them the company of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions. Allah Almighty says: ﴾… but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return".﴿ (Al-Baqarah: 155-156).
