MB: We condemn the renewed Israeli aggression and call on the ceasefire guarantor states to intervene

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the renewed aggression of the Zionist occupation against the Gaza Strip and the perpetration of new massacres against civilians in the Palestinian Strip.

The aggression that started at dawn today has resulted in the martyrdom of 29 Palestinians so far, most of whom were children, after targeting residential neighborhoods, tents of displaced Palestinian people, and a police station in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of the Gaza City.

This dangerous escalation is a deliberate and apparent undermining of the ceasefire agreement. It also constitutes a blatant disregard for international guarantees and the efforts of mediators and confirms the occupation’s insistence on continuing its genocidal war against the defenseless Palestinian people, despite the agreement being in effect and the protection it is supposed to provide for civilians.

The MB stresses that the war of extermination in Gaza has not stopped a single day since the agreement came into effect, as the number of martyrs who were killed by the bullets and bombing of the Zionist occupation since last October has reached 524 martyrs, in addition to 1,360 of wounded people, in conclusive evidence that the occupation has never adhered to the requirements of the agreement, rather they have taken it only as a cover to continue their aggression.

In this regard, the Muslim Brotherhood holds the Zionist occupation fully and directly responsible for these crimes, and it also holds the countries guaranteeing the ceasefire agreement responsible for these recurrent violations – while not taking serious measures to compel the occupation to respect its commitments.

The Brotherhood also calls on the international community to take immediate and urgent action to stop this renewed aggression, ensure the protection of civilians, and stop the war crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
