Muslim Brotherhood’s Stance on the War of Aggression Waged by the United States of America and the Zionist Entity Against the Islamic Republic of Iran
We Bring Goodness to the Whole World
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
﴾Every time they kindled the fire of war [against you], Allah extinguished it. And they strive throughout the land causing corruption, and Allah does not like corrupters﴿ (Al-Maidah: 64)
In light of the ongoing American, Zionist war against Iran, which started on Saturday, 28 February 2026, and the catastrophic repercussions and dangerous developments that cast their shadows over the entire Middle East, especially the Arab region, and the successive statements issued by the Zionist officials that the ultimate goal of this war is to revive the “Greater Israel” plan and control the political and economic resources in the region, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) herein declares its position clearly and unequivocally against this war of aggression, basing its stance on the following parameters:
First: Considering the various competing projects in the region that target our nation and our Arab and Islamic world, we find that the Zionist project is the most dangerous and the most harmful one.
Second: In this ongoing war, Iran is a country falling under attack, and accordingly it has the legitimate and legal right to self-defense. Also, its resistance to this aggression, which violates all international laws and conventions, is a right and a duty that deserves support, as expressed by most countries of the world.
Third: While affirming the right of Iran to defend its land, resources, and the interests of its people, we meanwhile emphasize here the need to ensure the safety of all countries in the region that have clearly rejected this war and exerted commendable efforts to prevent its outbreak, particularly the Arab Gulf countries, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and other Islamic countries, and to be keen not to throw them into the ongoing war. In this regard, we emphasize our complete rejection of any attacks on these countries, regardless of any justifications or reasons given for them.
Fourth: We urge all free and peace-loving nations and forces, as well as international and regional institutions, to act diligently and swiftly to stop this devastating war, which casts a dangerous shadow on international peace and security and inflicts heavy losses on the economies of the world's nations due to its destructive political, economic, and social consequences.
Fifth: We affirm with all clarity and explicitness our complete rejection of all projects of hegemony and control over our region and our Arab and Islamic world. After seeking help and support from Allah Almighty, we stand with all strength and determination with our countries, the forces of our nation and our homelands, and also with our peoples in the face of these destructive projects, with relentless pursuit to thwart them, and to exert all efforts to uphold the values of our Islamic project of the nation’s renaissance, which brings goodness for our nation and for the whole world.
May Allah Almighty protect our nation, all our countries, and all humanity from the scourge of devastating wars.
