MB Extends Condolences to Victims of the Earthquake in Indonesia

 The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) extends its sincere condolences and sympathies to the Republic of Indonesia, its leadership, government and people, for the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the eastern part of the country, measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale, which resulted in the death of dozens of citizens and the injury of others, and was followed by aftershocks and tsunami waves in a number of coastal areas.

While we also express our solidarity with the Indonesian people in facing the effects of this disaster, we also extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and their relatives, asking Allah Almighty to have mercy on the victims, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to protect Indonesia, its people and the whole Islamic nation from all harm.

Allah Almighty says in Surat al-Baqarah: ﴾And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." ﴿ (Al-Baqarah: 155-156)
