MB Chairman calls for the release of all political prisoners
In his weekly letter titled “mercy to each other”, he stressed it was unfortunate that the governments used double standards regarding 'mercy and forgiveness'. He condemned the stance of the governments who are keen on granting pardon and amnesty for crimes such as those committed by the Israeli entity without calling for trials against human rights violators.
He added Islam has promoted mercy to all which in turn will result in reform, benefiting the nation and its people. Badie stressed however forgiveness should be limited to those who deserve it and if this amnesty was inappropriately placed then it would lead to corruption. He referred to those who occupied our lands, killing and displacing our brothers describing it as a mistake which will have its impact on religion and the nation.
In conclusion he urged on authorities to be generous in their acts and to grant pardon and release the innocent detainees who are in fact unjustly detained men who have received numerous release orders and acquittals.
