MB MPs call for the investigating of the killing of the Egyptian Soldier.
In a written statement, the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary bloc denounced the killing of the Egyptian soldier at the borders between Egypt and Gaza. Signed by Dr. Saad Al-Katatni, Head of the bloc, it stressed that nobody consents to or accepts the current incidents with the spilling of the blood of Egyptians on their borders. The bloc strongly called for the investigating of the killing of the Egyptian soldier to find out the reasons which lead to the tension between the two parties.
The statement warned of the escalating of the situation and the disagreement between Egypt and Gaza in fear that it could be used as an excuse to increase the conflict between the two parties, tightening the unjustified three year siege on one and a half million people.
The MB bloc rejected the fierce media campaign led by the government owned Egyptian newspapers against the resistance movements in an attempt to use the killing of the Egyptian soldier to tarnish the image of the resistance justifying Egypt's insistence to construct the iron wall. The MB MP's stressed that this campaign against the resistance will not deceive the Egyptians who have always sacrificed and supported their Palestinian brothers.
They also called on the government to end the construction of the iron wall at the borders with Gaza for Egypt and not to become a partner of the Israeli entity in besieging our brothers in Gaza, highlighting that the tunnels between Egypt and Gaza are an urgent and necessary mean which is a lifeline for the Gazans and an alternative to the frequent closure of the Rafah crossing border..
The statement concluded "The citizens in the Gaza Strip are no more than one and a half million posing no threat to the security of Egypt which enjoys historical and significant value both in the Arab and Islamic world".
