Acting General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood calls on the UK to review listing Hamas as a terrorist organization

Ibrahim Munir, the Deputy leader and the Acting General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood sent a letter to the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson asking him to review UK decision to list Hamas as a terrorist organization before Parliament approves it.

In his letter, the Acting General Guide clarified that such a step by the UK will have a negative impact on the country's role as a mediator with to resolve Middle East issues.

The letter says:

Letter to Boris Johnson

Prime Minister - United Kingdom

As a keen observer of the UK role and its historical status, vital interests, and internal and external security, and as an observer of the events in the Middle East and the ongoing conflict and on the ground over the sanctities which extends to include large segments of people who are Muslims, Christians and Jews including political and national parties from the far right to the far left, I consider it necessary to review the step of the draft amendment of the new law that was issued For the Home Office in the United Kingdom on November 19, 2021, which is required to be presented to the House of Commons before the 26th of the same month, for parliamentary approval.

According to my vision and appreciation, the commitment to the security of the UK and the consideration of its interests have not been affected by any of these parties In addition, all these parties express their respect for this commitment.

I would also like to point out that this step will not affect only one segment of the parties to the conflict, but also many interested in resolving the conflict which may have an adverse impact on the UK  role as a mediator to resolve the conflect.
