Youssef Nada: Our doors are open for dialogues and pardons after reparation of the grievances
The Former Commissioner for International Relations demanded the end of the detainees and their families’ agony and facilitating the Transitional Justice law as per article 241 of the Egyptian constitution.
Nada asserted in an open message to the Egyptian regime that the door of the Muslim Brotherhood is open to dialogue and forgiveness given the reparation of the grievances.
The message reads as follows:
A second open message to those hesitant to reply to the first
We, the Muslim Brotherhood, have learnt through Allah’s holy book the story of Adam’s sons, and how one of them trespassed the brotherhood’s boundaries and one of them surpassed both of their sins and killed his brother, while the other one told him before getting killed:
Egypt has gone through years where good and evil were mixed up, and many generations have gone lost while finding their way amongst them to a better future.
Our blood is yet to dry and we are still bleeding, and yet all the demons weren’t able to lure us to Qabil’s path or the vengeance path, and all our followers repeated: “for I fear Allah; the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)”
This is a page of our beloved Egypt’s history that is yet to be turned, shall we turn it to another that is clearer and purer with tolerance and forgiveness?
Shall we start the path to stopping the tyrant and aggression, ending the agony of the detainees women and men, and their families’ agony by implementing what article 241 of the current Egyptian constitution dictates: “In its first legislative term after the enforcement of this Constitution, the House of Representatives shall issue a law on transitional justice that ensures revealing the truth, accountability, proposing frameworks for national reconciliation, and compensating victims, in accordance with international standards.”
The head of the state has described what we advocate as “A line of thought that lasted 90 years” even if he doesn’t agree with it or align with it, thoughts aren’t fought by murder or rejection, only by a better line of thought, more reasonable or relatable. And the prevalence of our line of thought over the course of 90 years – as he mentioned – despite the viscous wars that were launched against it from the friends and the foreign; is a just evidence of its ability to persuade this ummah that “it represents its good and can restore its glory”.
I shall keep repeating that our doors are open for dialogues and forgiveness given the reparation of the grievances. “…And Allah has full power and control over His Affairs, but most of men know not” Yusuf 21
