Brotherhood mourns the passing of the impartial Mujahd “Mustafa BelMahdi”

The Muslim Brotherhood joins the Islamic Ummah in mourning the passing Mujahid “Mustafa BelMahdi”, who has left our world on Saturday May 7th, 2022, Shawwal 6th, 1443 after a long struggle with his illness, in Blida, Algeria.

The late “BelMahdi” is one of three founders of the Islamic dawaa in the post-colonial Algeria, along with Sheikhs Mahfouz Nahnah and Muhammad Bouslimani - May Allah bless all their souls. BelMahdi was part of the liberation Revolution, and along his colleagues they founded “The National Building movement” which evolved from “AlRashad and Reform movement” and then the Islamic community movement, and then the peace community movement and finally “The national Building movement”. BelMahdi was the first president for this movement and the head of its founders’ body since its foundation in March 2014.

The late Sheikh was one of few who stood for science and nurturing, Dawah and principal steadfastness, he was known for his gentle manner, humility, open visions, and devotion to his dawah along with a patriot spirit. He was in support of all Arab and Islamic nation’s causes, whether through his membership in the National Assembly, or across his decades long political strenuousness career.

We pray Allah for mercy for the late sheikh, we pray for his family and community in Algeria and abroad for patience and solace. May Allah compensate our Dawah after his loss and aid everyone to carry through his mission in serving Alegria, the ummah and their causes.

We pray Allah for mercy for the late sheikh Mustafa BelMahdi and may he be accepted among the righteous and may Allah grant him his biggest rewards in heaven.
