MB Congratulates Turkiye On 15th. Of July, When The People Protected Their Will

On the anniversary of the heroic saga of the Turkish people in the face of the military coup on 15 July 2016, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) has the pleasure to congratulate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, his government and all the Turkish people for that great saga, in which the people established their sovereignty and imposed their will on everyone, by standing bravely in the face of some conspiring military, in defense of constitutional legitimacy.

Through that heroic saga, the Turkish people, with solidarity and sacrifice, proved their ability to thwart the coup and protect democracy; that they manifest the supreme power in New Turkiye; that they do not accept imposition of any guardianship over them, from outside their conscience; and that they would not allow any way of change other than the constitutional path, within the framework of justice and equality in rights and duties, and under the rule of law.

Turkey is right to commemorate this day and to make it a day of joy and victory. Had the Turkish people not succeeded in the heroic saga of July 2016, we would not have witnessed that impressive Turkish democratic achievement in the 2018 and 2023 elections; and Turkey would not have reaped the fruits of comprehensive development and renaissance, nor enhanced its strength and status among countries of the world; and would have become a weak country threatened with internal conflict among its various components, as experienced by many countries that lagged behind progress due to injustice and encroachment on the will of the people.

May Allah Almighty protect Turkey to remain strong, proud, and developed, and stay an asset to the Islamic world, and a supporter of fair human causes.

 Acting Muslim Brotherhood General Guide
