The Muslim Brotherhood is an integral part of the people

In response to Diaa Rashwan's remarks

The "Muslim Brotherhood" followed the statements of Mr. Diaa Rashwan, "General Coordinator of the National Dialogue" - to a satellite channel - which included many historical inaccuracies about the group!

As we set aside these inaccuracies, we denounce his claim as what he described: "an irrevocable divorce between the Brotherhood and all Egyptians."

We affirm that this language, in addition to being inappropriate for a person conducting a "national dialogue" between sectors of the Egyptians - even if it is a formal dialogue - contains a major "fallacy" about the Brotherhood's relationship with the people, because everyone knows that the Brotherhood - since its inception - has been an integral part of the Egyptian people. Because they work for the benefit of the people, their goal - after the pleasure of God Almighty - is to achieve the freedom of this people and the independence of their will, and for this, they were and still are trusted, and no one can erase their existence. Needless to mention - here - the Egyptians gathered around them in every free election they participated in, whether during the Mubarak era or after the glorious January Revolution.

Our confidence in our people has never been shaken despite all the media incitement campaigns against us! Those in which Mr. Diaa Rashwan himself is currently participating, after he had positions in defending the Brotherhood during the Mubarak era that we have not forgotten! His articles and interventions are still preserved in the electronic archive. The established fact is that the Brotherhood has not changed. But what changed is the author of those statements!
