Dr. Salah Abdel-Haq's Address Regarding Operation Al-Aqsa Flood
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, the Revealer of the Book, Disperser of the clouds, and Defeater of the Confederates, Who said in the Holy Quran: ﴾Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.﴿ (Al-Hajj: 39). And may peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohamed, the bringer of good tidings and the warner, who told us in his Holy Sunnah about the trueness of what we see now with our eyes: “There will always be a group from my Ummah triumphant upon the truth, victorious over their enemies, there will be no harm from those who oppose them, except for some hardship, and they will remain in this position (triumphant) until Allah's Command comes. The companions asked: “O Messenger of Allah, where will they be?” He said: "In Baytul-Maqdis and the precincts of Baytul-Maqdis.”
Now to the topic:
When people become desperate because of distress, cooperation of misguidance parties, and fear of doom, Allah Almighty sends His signs to consolidate the hearts of believers; and splits the sea of darkness with the stick of His destiny, so that the ground explodes from beneath the feet of falsehood, which in turn vanishes away in no time.
When Palestine is mentioned, the Muslim Brotherhood is mentioned; and when the Brotherhood is mentioned, Palestine is mentioned. Palestine is remembered for its fair cause, and the Brotherhood is remembered for its history related to that honor. Palestine is our cause. We did our utmost in defending it, and we won some rounds; we tested the strength of our enemy, and we made him suffer our blows, where we found that it is breakable and conquerable. This is our history.
The occupation has gone too far in its policy of desecration and Judaization of our sanctities and holy sites. Its army and settlers assaulted our women and worshipers in the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. The occupation gave the settlers a free hand to confiscate the lands of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Jerusalem. It has imposed a stifling siege on the Gaza Strip for sixteen years, turning it into the largest prison in the world, where two and a half million Palestinians are detained: demolishing their homes, and pouring bombs and explosives on the heads of their children and women.
All this is happening in full view of the world. Neither the occupier nor the world realized that we have had enough, and that the humanitarian conditions and basic rights of the Palestinian people have long been violated against all the resolutions of international legitimacy. In vain are the countries supporting the occupier trying to bend the truth that fair people acknowledge. Even, the head of the occupying state had held a map at the largest international forum, from which he completely erased all Palestine. After that, some people come to wonder why the volcano of rage exploded and the Al-Aqsa flood erupted.
We congratulate our Palestinian people and our Arab and Islamic nation for this crowning victory in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and Palestinian factions; the victory that has been achieved by the arms of glory and pride, which healed the hearts of millions of Arabs, Muslims and free people of the world, those who were denied the freedom and liberation they have ever desired, and who were fed up with grief as they watched the arrogance and brutality of the occupier and his abuse of prisoners in prison cells.
History keeps within it lessons to be learned. Fifty years ago, the Egyptian soldiers crossed, shouting Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) and achieved a miracle, destroying the Bar Lev Sand Line, and regaining our beloved Sinai. Falsehood mongers had imagined that this (6 Oct. war) would be the end of the wars, so they worked to restrain the people and remove any aspiration for peaceful change. In fact, all this is aimed at isolating Palestine from its natural incubator.
But decades of misinformation have not fooled our free peoples. It has become clear to all, that the spirit of the October victory was disseminated across the nation, despite attempts to distort the nation’s identity and erase its memory. We urge the nation’s scholars and members of Islamic movements, from Tangier to Jakarta, to undertake their duty in placing the issue of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque on their list of priorities. We also call on our peoples to maintain their material and moral support, in accordance with the legitimate duty of support (to their brothers).
Here we cannot fail to express our appreciation of the role of the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in supporting the Palestinian people and their fair cause, and in defending the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. We call on all our religious institutions to issue similar practical positions, calling for support and advocacy, until all Palestine, and our blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the destination of Prophet Mohamed's Israa, are liberated.
My message to the Mujahideen in Palestine, the Land of the Ribat: Allah Almighty has granted you the honor of confrontation. Today, you are the first defense line of our sanctities. You are the nation’s honor and pride, and you are also its hope, so make sure to maintain a sincere intention for Allah. Allah Almighty said: ﴾… And you threw not, when you threw, but it was Allah who threw…﴿ (Al-Anfal: 17). Work hard, maintain jihad, and be sure that ‘Allah will not waste the reward of those who best work righteousness’, and that ‘Allah is with you and will never deprive you of (the reward of) your deeds’.
My message to the families of the martyrs and the injured: Martyrdom is a great honor for whoever obtains it, as it is Allah’s blessing for whomever He has chosen from among His servants. Allah Almighty said: ﴾… And that He may take to Himself martyr-witnesses from among you...﴿ (Al-Imran: 140).
Congratulations to the ones whom Allah Almighty chose for a happy eternal life; and congratulations to the ones whose names were written with letters of light on the path of martyrdom, the path of the early Mujahideen. We extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to you, and our sincere prayers for recovery of the wounded and injured, the victims of the enemy’s bombardment and aggression.
May Allah Almighty bless your efforts and provide you with support from Him.
It is jihad, either victory or martyrdom. Allah Is the Greatest, and Praise Be to Allah,
And may Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you..
