Let’s stand together as one, in the face of pressures, and against displacement

Let’s stand together as one, in the face of pressures, and against displacement

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Those (believers) unto whom the people (hypocrites) said, "Verily, the people (enemies) have gathered (a great army) against you, therefore, fear them." But it (only) increased them in faith, and they said: "Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).﴿ (Al-Imran: 173)

As the aggression against Gaza embarks on a new phase of brutality and genocide, amid persistent endeavours to forcibly displace the people of Gaza and push them into Egypt, and exercising much pressure to achieve such end – we reaffirm our stance, along with all popular and political forces, of rejecting the displacement scenario, as we consider it a red line.

In fact, our position from displacement of the people of Gaza is the same as the position adopted by Egypt that had been formerly announced at the level of leadership, government and people, regardless of any affiliations and political spectrum, in a rare national consensus on one issue, given the fact that it is a matter of Egyptian national security, as well as a threat to Arab national security; and that it touches the conscience of every Arab and Muslim – which gives the Egyptian position a regional and international dimension that is anticipated by the free peoples of the world who support the Palestinian cause.

Therefore, we call for confirmation of the Egyptian position from the displacement of the people of Gaza, as it is a red line that cannot be surpassed. We also call for not succumbing to any threats or temptations to backtrack on this position. We also call on the Egyptian state’s institutions, including the Parliament, the army, Al-Azhar, the national forces, parties, and unions, to undertake their duty of guarding the Egyptian position towards the Palestinian cause, as Egypt has always been a supporter of Palestine, and it should not abandon it today.

In this regard, we stress that the displacement scenario is nothing but a “new nakba”; and that liquidation of the Palestinian resistance is liquidation of the Palestinian cause, which directly puts Egypt in the face of an enemy whose ambitions, that it does not even attempt to hide, are endless; which identifies the displacement issue as a matter of national security in our Egyptian position.

In addition to the above, we would like to emphasize some demands, namely:

First: Devotion of all official and popular Egyptian, Arab, and Islamic efforts to immediately stop the war, to save our brothers, and to prevent that war from reaching our country and affecting our sovereignty and security.

Second: Seriously working to lift the siege off Gaza; in implementation of the recommendation of the Arab Islamic Summit to permanently open the Rafah Crossing, and to ensure the regular access of relief aid under international supervision, without waiting for permission from the enemy.

Third: Calling on Arab and Islamic countries to insist on the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip by all means - by land, sea and air - as the Kingdom of Jordan did of airdropping aid in Gaza.

Fourth: Confirmation of the Egyptian position, considering displacement of Gazans as a red line; and viewing the procedures currently carried out on the ground as a direct violation of Egypt’s national security, and a sign for the need to reconsider the peace treaty.

Fifth: Opening the Rafah Crossing for the return of Egyptians residing in Gaza to their homeland, without waiting for approval or pressure from any party.

Sixth: Admission of the wounded and ill Palestinians and offering them medical treatment in Egyptian or other hospitals.

Seventh: Lifting the security grip off the Egyptian popular, political and professional forces and allow them to express their positions towards Egypt’s security and the Palestinian cause.

To conclude, we verily trust Allah’s promise to His faithful, patient and struggling servants, of victory and empowerment; and we pray to Allah Almighty to grant us this victory sooner rather than later; He is the Excellent Protector, and the Excellent Supporter.
