Aggression Against Syria: The Zionist Entity Is a Source of Concern and Threat, and It Must Be Held Accountable

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the treacherous Israeli aggression that targeted the Syrian territory from the southern areas to Damascus, viewing it as a blatant assault on the sovereignty of an Arab state and a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, something that must be condemned and holding the aggressor accountable.

The occupying forces’ direct targeting of military units affiliated with the Syrian army, which were maintaining security within the Syrian state's borders, and the bombing of military and government headquarters in Damascus today reaffirms once again that the Zionist entity will remain a source of concern and a constant threat to the security and stability of the whole region. This aggression also confirms the entity's blatant ambitions, which we have long warned against.

As we affirm the Syrian state's right to establish security and order throughout its entire national territory without interference from anyone, we, meanwhile, call on the international community and the UN Security Council, as well as the Arab and Islamic countries, to use all possible legal and political cards to pressure the Zionist entity to halt its recurrent violations and to work to freeze and call off all forms of cooperation with it, in order to curb its aggressive policies that threaten the security and stability of the region.
