Targeting Hamas Leaders in Qatar Is a Crime and Treason That Must Be Punished

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the heinous terrorist crime committed by the Zionist enemy backed by the United States, targeting the political leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas and bombing the center of the Qatari capital, Doha, through launching twelve raids that targeted the resistance movement's residence and headquarters.

The MB views this sinful aggression as a dangerous escalation and a blatant assault on the sovereignty of an Arab state, the State of Qatar, which has long sponsored Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, both in previous stages and to this day. This makes the aggression a double crime of treason, and a political and legal crime by all standards of international law and diplomatic norms, which reveals the true face of the Zionist entity, that only knows the language of treason, terrorism, and destruction.

However, we emphasize that targeting the leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas will not diminish the spirit of jihad (struggle) that now runs through the veins of every Muslim, the spark of which has begun and will not end until the removal of the Zionist entity and the annihilation of its state.

Targeting the Hamas leadership with this terrorist approach reflects the occupation's failure to force the resistance to surrender on the ground. Instead, it resorted, helplessly, to targeting its negotiating delegation. This is an approach that has proven to be a failure throughout the history of the Palestinian resistance, whose roots are deeply rooted in the hearts of the Palestinian people, whose generations and leaders have passed without the banner of jihad and struggle falling.

The Brotherhood views targeting any Arab country as targeting the entire nation. In this regard, the MB calls on all Arab and Islamic governments, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the United Nations to shoulder their responsibilities so that this aggression does not go unpunished. We also emphasize the need to hold the Zionist entity accountable for its crimes to deter it from repeating the aggression.
