Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza Is Victory for Palestinian Rights

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) welcomes and blesses the ceasefire agreement announced today by the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas, brokered by regional and international mediation.

The Brotherhood views this agreement as a major political achievement for the Palestinian negotiators, the fruit of the strenuous jihad of its valiant resistance, and a direct result of the Palestinian people's resilience, the unity of resistance factions, and their political stance – which confirms that the Palestinian people are still capable of imposing their will!

The MB stresses that the resistance's adherence to the Palestinian people's rights and principles, and its refusal to relinquish any of them despite the enormous pressures practiced on it and the brutal war machine, will enable it to fulfil the Palestinian people's hopes for complete liberation. It will also make its weapons a protector of these rights, a guardian of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the national soil and remaining loyal to the blood of the martyrs.

In this regard, the Brotherhood appreciates the sincere efforts exerted by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States to reach this agreement, for establishment of peace, addressing the unprecedented humanitarian crisis, exchanging prisoners, and ending two years of brutal war.

The MB calls for working to ensure the agreement's consolidation and moving forward with the implementation of its requirements, including a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

The Muslim Brotherhood congratulates the Palestinian people and the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas on this achievement and hopes that this agreement will contribute to opening a new phase in rebuilding what has been destroyed by the war, working to provide the necessary infrastructure for all services, reconstruction, and restoring normal life for the people of Gaza on the basis of life, freedom, dignity, and independence.

The Brotherhood stresses that the cessation of war does not mean the end of the conflict with an enemy accustomed to treason. Furthermore, the battle for justice waged by the world's free peoples and governments to hold the Zionist war criminals accountable, particularly Netanyahu, remains open.

Likewise, the battle of the Palestinian narrative against Zionist propaganda will remain open until the world realizes the extent of the pain this "cancerous" entity causes to the conscience of the world and humanity.

The MB calls on Arab and Islamic countries and all countries of the world to play an official role in addressing the humanitarian crisis and providing urgent relief to the Palestinian people, once all obstacles to aid delivery have been removed. We also call on them to open the way for popular institutions and civil society organizations to organize relief efforts and collect and deliver aid.

The recent agreement provides guaranteed access to the Gaza Strip, where nearly two million people are living in inhuman conditions. This requires everyone to urgently provide them with all forms of support.
