A statement from the members of the General Shura Council abroad
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Beneficent. Praise be to the Lord of all worlds. Prayers and peace be upon our Prophet, Muhammad, his family and all of his companions.
At the invitation of His Eminence Mr. Ibrahim Munir, the Deputy leader and the acting General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood; Members of the General Shura Council abroad held a meeting on Sunday 9 Rabi’ al-Thani 1443 AH November 14, 2021. They analyzed the latest developments and concluded with the following decisions:
1. Reaffirmation of the rules, texts, and regulations, as well as the working norms within the Muslim brotherhood. The one entrusted with convening the General Shura Council is the General Guide or his deputy or the acting General Guide..
2. What was published attributable to the General Shura Council on the ''Ikhwan online'' website - which is now outside the Muslim Brotherhood’s management - is incorrect. The members of the General Shura Council abroad confirmed that they had not invited or participated in the alleged meeting and that they did not issue this statement. They also reject all its contents.
3. The meeting reviewed the attitudes and behavior of the "six" brothers who are being investigated. And based on the repetition of their violations in a way that is not based on a legal text, nor historical analogy, nor rational logic; the Deputy leader and the acting General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood decided to freeze their membership, and not take into account anything issued by them.
The members of the General Shura Council abroad affirm that the Muslim Brotherhood is proceeding in its work under the leadership of His Eminence Mr. Ibrahim Munir the Deputy leader and the acting General Guide. We affirm our covenant with Allah, and our pledge of allegiance to the Eminence of the General Guide. Preserving the Brotherhood, neither changing nor altering. May Allah preserves our nation and our brotherhood. May Allah free our brothers and sisters in Egypt from prisons
