MB demands rescue of thousands of Egyptian drivers stranded at Sudan border

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) expresses its deep sorrow and pain for the tragedy that befell the Egyptian drivers on the Egyptian border with Sudan. While we strongly condemn the causes which led to that catastrophe which claimed the lives of fourteen drivers who were seeking to earn their livelihood and that of their families, we call on the concerned authorities in the Egyptian and Sudanese governments to take all necessary procedures to ensure the safety of some four thousand drivers stranded there. We also demand provision of support and relief to them.

We express our condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims who lost their lives. We also pray to Allah to grant all these families patience and solace, and we pray for the safety and security of those stranded on the border.
