Muslim Brotherhood Condemns the Forced Displacement and Genocide of Palestinians

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) is closely following the brutal military attack by the occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, which has turned into a "crime of genocide", as some countries have described it. Targeting more than two million people by killing and displacement, and exercising all forms of brutality, torture, starvation, and killing of civilians, is nothing but a crime of genocide.

Almost all violations prohibited by the international law as well as divine laws are being committed against the people of Gaza, including: the killing of children, women, and elderly people; the killing of journalists and reporters; the killing of doctors, paramedics, and civil defence crews; the prevention of the entry of food and medicine; and the cutting off of water supplies, electricity, gas, and all life necessities – as each of the above violations is an internationally prohibited crime at war; and all of them are crimes against humanity committed systematically and officially against the Palestinians.

As a result of these brutal massacres carried out by the occupying enemy, dozens of Palestinian families were removed from the civil registry; and thousands of civilians were martyred and injured, including over 1,000 children so far.

The situation is getting worse, particularly after the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) abandoned its international role, under the continued aerial bombardment of the people of Gaza, day and night; in addition to the closure of the Rafah crossing to international humanitarian aid, which doubled the scale of the humanitarian disaster.

Within the war repercussions, and as a result of the clear United States bias in favour of the occupation, and adoption of hostile official rhetoric and media mobilization inciting hatred, a Palestinian/American Muslim kid: Wadie al-Fayoumy (6), was killed in the United States, after he was stabbed 26 times to death at the hands of his landlord; and his mother had more than a dozen stab wounds, in attempted murder by the same perpetrator, as a result of the media mobilization against Palestinians and Muslims.

The Muslim Brotherhood condemns all forms of massacres against civilians, the humanitarian siege of Gaza, the starvation of the Palestinian people, and pushing for displacing them.

The MB calls on heads of states to review their practical positions that should impose a different reality on the ground, stopping all forms of intransigence and escalation.

The Brotherhood also calls on the United Nations Security Council that is concerned with maintaining international peace and security, to take a firm and effective stance towards these crimes.
