Muslim Brotherhood’s Statement on Al-Mamdani Hospital Massacre in Gaza
﴾And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision. Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. They receive good tidings of favour from Allah and bounty and [of the fact] that Allah does not allow the reward of believers to be lost. Those [believers] who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them. For those who did good among them and feared Allah is a great reward. Those to whom hypocrites said, "Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them." But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, "Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs”.﴿ (Al Imran: 169-173)
The entire world has followed the Al-Mamdani (Baptist) Hospital massacre in the Gaza Strip, the massacre that claimed hundreds of martyrs, most of whom were women and children. The massacre comes in continuation of the criminal approach adopted by the occupation forces in a desperate attempt to cover up the catastrophic failure on the battlefield, and the flight of its soldiers after being defeated by the valiant resistance brigades.
Alongside the occupation, all countries that provide cover for these barbaric practices, through backing and support, or through silence and failure to do what is required to deter Zionist arrogance – are all held responsible for the brutal war crimes and massacres that are committed against civilians in Palestine.
The Arab leaders, armies of Muslim countries, and all international gatherings and forums are facing a real test, which may be the last, to rise to the level of the peoples’ rage and the flood of dignity that has swept the nation and increased its confidence in its own strength in the face of a fragile enemy whose cowardly raids only reveal more of its ugliness and weakness, as well as its madness and defeat.
This is your opportunity to repent for the shortcomings of normalization with the killers of children, women, and the elderly. It is also your opportunity to side with the angry masses of your nation, and win the blessing, honour, and pride of supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) calls on the masses of the Arab and Islamic peoples, the free peoples of the entire world, and all popular and religious institutions and associations, to peacefully express their rage at what is happening in Gaza, and to escalate their popular mobilization, so that the occupation and its supporters would back down from such brutal and despicable practices.
