O Allah.. Gaza and Our One Nation – Call to Carrying out Duty

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah; and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his kinsfolk, companions, and followers:

Brothers and sisters and all Muslims across the world,

While everyone is busy during the month of Ramadan, either I in performance of acts of worship, both in mosques or in private, or in earning their living, the people of Gaza are living under the bombardment of a treacherous enemy that has broken its covenant, turned on its heels, and disregarded any law, charter, or international calls and demands.

The treacherous enemy does this backed by the most powerful forces of evil in the world that provide it with equipment and various kinds of support, with the aim of instating and reinforcing it as a cancerous entity in the heart of our nation in order to weaken it. No wonder in this, as the Holy Quran describes it, stating: ﴾ And those who disbelieved are allies of one another. If you do not do so, there will be fitnah on earth and great corruption. ﴿ (Al-Anfal: 73), But it is strange that our nation has turned away from supporting our people in the Gaza Strip – even through praying and supplication – surrendering to the restrictions imposed on it and not revolting and expressing rage over the sanctities that are being violated and the blood that is being shed.

The duty of our nation – states and governments, individuals and groups, political parties, professional and academic associations, scholarly unions, labor unions, youth and student organizations – is to express our outrage at the renewed aggression on Gaza and to denounce the Arab and international silence in all forms of expression. This includes holding meetings to discuss means of political and legal pressure; media, technical and relief support; and making sacrifices for this purpose. In our appeal, we do not specifically address rulers, as we have repeatedly spoken to them. Rather, we address individuals and small groups, to work to fulfill this duty.

O Muslims across the world,

There are only a few days left before the advent of the Eid holiday with its joys, worship, maintaining family ties, and wearing new clothes. Meantime, we have brothers in Gaza who have lost their way to a safe place; and were deprived from all means of life. Let us not neglect them and focus on ourselves. By Allah, He Almighty will ask us on the Day of Judgment about what we have offered to those who are suffering in the front lines, standing at the forefront for defending Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque. So, be moderate in your joys and fulfill their due rights.

And to the people of Gaza, the people of resilience and bravery: we join hands with you and ask Allah to strengthen your arms, accept your martyrs and fulfill His promise to you. He Almighty said: ﴾And incumbent upon Us was support of the believers. ﴿ (Al-Rum: 47). You have done the best in the victorious Operation Al-Aqsa Flood over the course of fifteen months. And you have defeated an enemy who thought he was invincible. Yes, the sacrifices are high; but the price is higher. How honorable it is that the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and all of Palestine is the intended title, and martyrdom for the sake of Allah is the goal. So be patient, for victory is the provision of the mujahideen and victory is the reward of the patient.

To conclude, we call on all the associations and organizations that we have addressed in advance to call for expressing the escalating anger against the US-Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and to mobilize for Palestine, so that the entire world may hear the voice of one nation standing up for its brothers and expressing its anger. Let the mobilization for expressing anger continue, so that the silent world may move and act to stop the Zionist crimes.

﴾ Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful. Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. ﴿ (Al-Hajj: 38 - 40)
