About the Criminal Israeli Aggression Against Iran

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the brutal military aggression that has been launched by the Zionist occupation against the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeting dozens of military and vital sites and facilities, as well as civilian residences within the Iranian territory. 

This aggression constitutes a blatant aggression against Iran's security and sovereignty, which is criminalized by all international norms and laws.

This new Israeli aggression cannot be separated from the context of the ongoing aggression against the countries and peoples of the entire region, including the occupied Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Egypt. 

This aggression confirms that the Zionist occupation constitutes a regional threat to the peoples of the region, which underscores the need for building a regional security system to deter the occupation's practices and halts its aggression.

In this regard, the Brotherhood warns against international complicity or silence regarding this escalation, and stresses the following:

1. The UN Security Council is responsible for immediately halting the aggression and imposing deterrent punitive measures on the Zionist entity. However, the continued American bias renders reliance on the international institution useless, thus continually contributing to the erosion of the legitimacy of the UN and putting the future of the entire international system at stake.
2. The Arab and Islamic countries, particularly Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Algeria, are demanded to take a unified and clear political stance against the “Israeli” aggression against a neighboring Islamic state and the violation of its sovereignty. In this regard, they should not be satisfied with the issuance of formal condemnations only, but are demanded to work together to halt the ongoing Zionist encroachment and aggression against the countries and peoples of the region.
3. The Islamic world peoples, their civil institutions, and the peoples of the free world are called upon to express their rejection of the Israeli aggression and the intensification of the siege and isolation of the Zionist entity from the human conscience.
4. We stress that the international community's tolerance of the occupation's crimes in Palestine has motivated and continues to motivate such persistence, and that halting the aggression on Gaza, lifting the siege on the Palestinian strip, and holding war criminals accountable is the true start of restoration of balance and of deterrence of the occupying entity.

We extend our sincere condolences to Iran and its people for the martyrs of this aggression. May Allah Almighty protect all the peoples of the nation from the evil of the “Israeli” aggression and to unite their word in the face of the expansionist Zionist project.
