MB Acting General Guide’s Message to the Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha
Honorable leaders of Arab and Islamic states convening at the Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha,
May Allah’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you all!
First of all, I’d like to express my sincere wishes for your success at this summit, on which the Arab and Islamic peoples count and await a clear stance for establishment of a deterrent equation against the “Israeli” arrogance that seeks to impose military hegemony over the whole region. In fact, this “Israeli” arrogance comes after nearly two years of genocide and starvation in Gaza, and attacks on Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen, without finding a unified regional position against it. However, your rush to Doha manifests an appreciated response and a necessary message of solidarity in the face of the “Israeli” aggression.
The terrorist attack carried out by the “Israeli” occupation’s army on the Qatari capital, Doha, is an attack against all countries in the region, and a threat that demonstrates the extent to which this occupation's aggression may go. This leaves all the countries of the region vulnerable to this threat, manifested in an enemy that respects no state sovereignty, international law, diplomatic norms, or even relations with the mediators it uses to free its prisoners.
Honorable leaders of Arab and Islamic states,
The region is currently in dire need of a joint defense structure in which all its countries cooperate to confront the “Israeli” military threats. The illusions of security alliances with the occupation have collapsed, after it became certain that it (the occupation) is the primary military threat to the countries of the region. The occupation government has clearly demonstrated beyond doubt that it does not care about the security considerations of the countries of the region, and that it will continue its policy of imposing a fait accompli based on military aggression, in order to pursue the plans of the Netanyahu government in Gaza, including the displacement of its people, the annexation of the West Bank, and the security hegemony over Lebanon, southern Syria, and the Philadelphi Corridor, in addition to the threat of recurrence of the military aggression against Iran.
These threats cannot be deterred solely by political and diplomatic solidarity among the countries of the region, but also by decisive procedures, including the following:
- First: Developing joint defense mechanisms at the regional level, without the occupying states being part of them, but rather aimed at confronting the military threat they pose.
- Second: Launching a strategic initiative aimed at ensuring the independence of the region's countries from any international influence that does not serve their interests, diversifying alternative military alliances, and considering regional military independence through joint military manufacturing programs an urgent priority.
- Third: Closing the countries of the region’s airspace to the occupation's aircraft and imposing complete isolation on it.
- Fourth: Punishing the occupation economically by halting all forms of commercial transactions with it, whether governmental or private, and using the economic influence of the countries of the region to expand this procedure at the international level.
- Fifth: Prosecuting the occupation’s government legally at the international level and seeking to punish it for its crimes in Gaza and for the attack against Doha.
- Sixth: Providing relief to the people of Gaza, imposing the entry of essential and necessary aid, and linking all measures to punish the occupation’s government to halting the war of extermination aimed at displacing the people of Gaza.
Considering that the region and its countries are now at a critical historical moment, the enormous sacrifices made by the Palestinian people must not be in vain, and the occupation must not be rewarded for its crimes. Therefore, the Arab and Islamic peoples expect from you, leaders, a position befitting these great sacrifices, the sanctity of this blood, and the gravity of the existing threats. Otherwise, the occupation will view the absence of such position a mandate to continue killing and genocide, and to pursue its aggression that is no longer far from any country in the region.
May Allah guide your steps and grant you success in all the best for the country and its people.
Dr. Salah Abdel Haq
Acting Muslim Brotherhood General Guide
