MB Congratulations to Beloved Syria on the First Anniversary of Liberation

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) extends its warmest congratulations and sincerest feelings of pride and honor to the brotherly Syrian people, to the Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, and to his government and the national forces who were partners in liberation, on the first anniversary of the liberation of Syria – that day when the Syrians regained their state, and opened a new chapter of pride and dignity after decades of injustice and tyranny.

The Syrian people have proven that the will of the people prevails, no matter how long it may take, that their sacrifices were not in vain, and that freedom is worth every sacrifice, no matter how precious, so that people may live free and dignified on their land. In fact. the Syrians have delivered a magnificent epic and made immense sacrifices to reach this day, through their struggle, patience, and resilience, until they achieved their goal.

As we share the joy of this great day with our brothers in Syria, we emphasize the significance of the unity of Syria, both its land and its people. We reject all projects of internal division or external hegemony. We share with all Syrians their aspirations for a stable state where its people enjoy security, safety, freedom, and justice.

We also declare our unwavering solidarity with Syria in liberating every inch of its occupied land, and we stand against the recurrent Israeli attacks from time to time, believing that the unity of the Syrian people and the strength of the Syrian state are the guarantee of the complete liberation and confrontation of the occupation and its ambitions.

We also stress that our support for the Syrian revolution has been unwavering since its very first day, stemming from our belief in the people's right to freedom and justice. This was the stance of every Egyptian who dreamed of a free Egypt – the spirit that late President Mohamed Morsi – may Allah have mercy on him – expressed when he chanted from the heart of Cairo: “Labbaik, Syria,” (Here we are at your service, Syria) so that these words may remain a testament to the fact that the cause of freedom and upholding the right of peoples to freedom and justice are indivisible values.

We pray to Allah Almighty to protect Syria, to grant it a more stable and prosperous future, to have mercy on its martyrs, heal its wounded, return the displaced people to their homes, and unite Syrian people on freedom, justice, and dignity. Allah Almighty says:  And We wanted to confer favour upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them leaders and make them inheritors.﴿   (Al-Qasas: 5)
