Muslim Brotherhood Mourns Preacher Ismail Abdullah Kory
“Among the believers are men who are true to the covenant with Allah: so of them is he who accomplished his vow, and of them is he who yet awaits its fulfillment, and they have not altered in the least. (Al-Ahzab: 33)”
With the utmost sadness and sorrow, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) mourns, brother and operative preacher Mr. Ismail Abdullah Kory, director of the Preachers Preparation Institute in Benin, who passed away at dawn on the thirteenth of Ramadan 1444 AH / the fourth of April 2023, in the aftermath of a busy life in serving Islam and the call to Allah.
Mr. Ismail Abdullah Kory graduated from the Islamic University in Niger. He devoted all his effort and time to the call to Allah, particularly in the service of expatriate African students, and within the International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO).
Then, he traveled to Benin as envoy of the Kuwait Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, where he, along with his brothers, established an institute for the preparation of teachers and preachers.
Brother Kory, may Allah have mercy on him, was keen on enhancing ties, strengthening bonds, and dissemination of goodness and love. He was also a pioneer in foundation of Islamic action in his own country.
We ask Allah Almighty to accept his jihad, his sacrifice, and all his action, and to upgrade his position in Illiyeen (the highest place ever in Paradise), with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor, of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous; and excellent are those as companions.
The MB extends its sincere condolences to his brethren, his family, his honorable children and his relatives. We pray to Allah Almighty to shower him with His mercy and grant them forbearance and solace.
