MB: We Call On The Arab Summit To Take A Decisive Stance Against Displacement; And We Call On Peoples To Take To The Streets

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) reiterates its complete rejection of US President Donald Trump’s statements calling for the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, viewing these statements as a flagrant violation of international law and international conventions, and a genuine participation in the crime of ethnic cleansing on the Palestinian territories.

The Brotherhood confirms its full support for every Arab or international position that rejects displacement and recognizes the right of the Palestinian people to liberate their land and live on it in peace like all the peoples of the world.

With regard to the expected response to the American statements, the Muslim Brotherhood addresses the Arab leaders convening at the upcoming five-party preparatory summit in Riyadh, and at the emergency Arab summit in Cairo on 27 February, calling for the following:

  1. Adopting a decisive Arab position rejecting displacement and considering it an ethnic cleansing crime that must be confronted by all legitimate means.

  1. Backing the positive stances announced by the countries surrounding Palestine, with respect to their rejection of displacement, and supporting the right of the Palestinian people to live on their entire land, until they achieve their freedom and independence.

  1. Rallying around an integrated Arab project to urgently supply the essentials of life to the Gaza Strip and immediately starting reconstruction and demanding the required compensation from the Zionist entity.

  1. Halting all forms of Arab-Zionist cooperation and normalization, and imposing economic and political sanctions on the occupation.

  1. Calling on the United Nations, in the name of the Arab emergency summit, to issue an official resolution for condemning the call for displacement, considering this act as participation in and incitement to the crime of ethnic cleansing, as well as a violation of international law.

  1. Demanding the formation of an international committee to monitor and prevent forced displacement, headed by Arab countries, especially the countries surrounding Palestine.

  1. Supporting cooperation with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the genocide lawsuit and the punishment of war criminals.

  1. Calling for imposition of international sanctions on the occupation, suspending its membership in international organizations, and stopping any military or economic support offered to it.

  1. Opening up the space for the Arab peoples to express their anger and support for the decisions rejecting displacement and liquidation of the Palestinian cause.
    1. Organizing demonstrations and protests in all Arab and Islamic capitals, highlighting rejection of the displacement plan.

The Brotherhood also calls on Arab and Islamic peoples, political groups, political parties and society forces to show their popular anger in rejection of displacement through:

  1. Launching broad economic boycott campaigns against the occupation and the countries that support it.

  1. Pressuring governments to take stronger stances against the occupation and its practices; and supporting their positive positions in this regard.

  1. Supporting the Palestinians by all available means to enhance their resilience on their land.

To conclude, the five-party summit held in Riyadh and the Arab summit to be held on 27 February 2025 are facing a decisive historical moment. Either they will make strong decisions to stop the displacement plan, or they will be recorded in the annals of history as having left the Palestinian people to face their fate alone.

However, the Palestinian cause will not die; the Palestinians will not depart their land; and their right will never be prescriptible.

…And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know.﴿  (Yusuf: 21).
