Australia Shooting : MB Condemns Targeting Civilians and Disruption of a Country Supportive of Palestinian Cause
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the attack that targeted Australian civilians on Bondi Beach in Sydney, near an event linked to a Jewish religious occasion. The MB emphasizes that targeting civilians is a crime that is absolutely unacceptable and condemned, regardless of the motives or pretexts.
Large numbers of Jews and the Jewish community organizations across the world have participated in popular civil activities supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting the genocide war in Gaza.
Therefore, the Brotherhood emphasizes that legitimate anger at the humanitarian disaster in Gaza should not be used to justify targeting the Jews or any other religious group, as the Quranic approach in this regard is clear and explicit: ﴾ And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another....﴿ (Fater: 18).
Targeting Australia – whose people rose up in rejection of the genocide war in Gaza and whose government officially recognized the Palestinian state in 21 September 2025 – only serves to enhance the rhetoric of incitement against any official positions supportive of the Palestinian rights.
In this regard, the Muslim Brotherhood expresses its condolences to the families of victims and to the Australian government and calls for serious international action to redress the injustice practiced against the Palestinian people and end the ongoing horrific humanitarian tragedy on a daily basis in Gaza, despite the ceasefire agreement declared since 10 October 2025.
