Press release on the decision to hand over the free poet Abdulrahman Yousef al-Qaradawi to UAE

We express our rejection and surprise at the Lebanese government’s decision to extradite the free poet Abdulrahman Yousef al-Qaradawi to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Meanwhile, we are closely watching with great interest the expected outcome of the defense team’s appeal against this decision before the Lebanese judiciary, which we expect to enforce the law, uphold rights and freedom, and release the poet Abdulrahman Yousef.
