MB responds to Trump's hostile statements against the Palestinian cause
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) condemns the recurrent and escalating American attitudes against the Palestinian people, as publicly announced by US President Donald Trump. In fact, the US withdrawal from the United Nations Human Rights Council, the suspension of US contributions to for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), and participation in the crime of ethnic cleansing in Gaza by practicing pressures and pushing for facilitation of the displacement of the Gazan people to Arab countries, up to announcing that the United States will own the Gaza Strip and eliminate the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas – all of which are hostile American positions against the Palestinian people, and even against the whole Islamic nation, concerning the most precious and sacred cause, that is the Palestinian cause.
The US President's statements assert that the Gaza war is not over yet; rather a phase of political liquidation of the cause has just started after the enemy had militarily failed to achieve its goals. However, one of the battlefields at this phase is the corridors of Arab governments and decision-making. Therefore, Arab countries must create a wall of resistance to the American-Israeli conspiracy, and strongly respond to the American attacks, and immediately launch procedures for the reconstruction of Gaza; and to be confident that the Arab peoples will certainly support any decisions in this regard if they are allowed to express themselves.
It goes without saying that it is now evident to everyone that the Palestinian people are deeply rooted in their land and absolutely reject displacement, as they know for sure that whoever departs Palestine will never return to it once again, a lesson they have learned from the story of history. We should also realize that those who rejected displacement during the war will not accept it today. In fact, the call for displacement for the sake of reconstruction is a call that although its exterior may contain mercy, however on the inside of it there is torment, which does not fool any sane person. Therefore, the Arab governments – on which the bet is – must act to thwart this malicious plan and not consent to it no matter the cost, noting that they are capable of doing this by standing on the right side.
The US withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council should also be an opportunity for countries that reject the Israeli occupation to file and activate lawsuits against the United States as a genuine partner in the crime of genocide and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip in terms of offering political, financial and military support for the “Israeli” war leaders convicted of those crimes.
Also, Arab and Islamic countries should provide an appropriate alternative for extending support to UNRWA after Europe and the United States had withdrawn their support to the UN agency. In this regard, we call on the rulers of Arab and Islamic countries to establish an Islamic organization for achievement of the same purpose under the umbrella of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to play a humanitarian role towards a Muslim people that have been exhausted by war, not based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), but primarily based on the religious duty and responsibility before Allah Almighty, peoples and history.
These are some opportunities behind the escalating American threats, which the peoples and governments of the free world must seize, escalating their positions within international organizations, declaring rejection of all forms of occupation, and fully recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to establish their free and independent state on all Palestine.
