MB: We reiterate our rejection of Iran's indiscriminate bombardment of Gulf countries and warn against expanding the scope of war, serving only the Zionist entity
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) is following with great concern the Zionist, American aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its repercussions in Iran’s aggression against the Gulf countries and their sovereignty, given the serious risks that such developments may pose to the stability of the region and the security of its people.
In this vein, we would like to emphasize several points, as follows:
First: We affirm our principled and unwavering stance in rejecting aggression against peoples and nations, regardless of its source.
Second: By extension, the MB stresses that the security of the Gulf countries and all other Arab and Islamic countries is an integral part of the security of the entire nation, and that any attack on these countries or any threat to their stability is completely unacceptable and condemned. Based on this, the Brotherhood calls for an immediate end to all forms of aggression against Gulf countries.
Third: The Brotherhood emphasizes that the policy of patience and restraint in tackling these repercussions by some leaders of Gulf countries, specifically the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait, demonstrates their political wisdom and the prioritization of reason, which is required in addressing a highly complex situation (the nation is currently experiencing) where enemies are seeking to embroil Gulf countries in a proxy war that could ignite the whole region, deplete its resources, and weaken its people, only for the benefit of the Zionist enemy, the sole beneficiary of igniting the conflict.
Fourth: The American, Israeli aggression against Iran and its potentials is only a prelude to a declared plan to redraw the region's maps in a way that only achieves Israel’s supremacy and brings its illusion of “Greater Israel” closer to realization, at the expense of the region's countries.
This entails that both peoples and rulers of states should be well aware of these dimensions and their dangers. Hence, we call upon political, intellectual, and scientific elites, journalists, media professionals, and opinion leaders to work diligently to contain all forms of escalation, and not to align with the nation’s enemies, regardless of any political or sectarian disagreements.
In conclusion, the Muslim Brotherhood calls upon the entire nation during this holy month to turn to Allah Almighty and hold fast to His firm rope, and remove all causes and manifestations of division. Allah Almighty says in Surat Al Imran: ﴾ And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided. ﴿ (Al-Imran: 103)
