MB: Closing Al Aqsa Mosque Is a Crime.. We Call for a Popular Campaign to End the Siege

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
﴾Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing﴿ (Al-Isra: 1)

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) reiterates its condemnation in the strongest terms of the continued siege of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionist occupation, its prevention of prayer therein, and its persistence in imposing unprecedented acts of aggression targeting the freedom of worship.
The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is the first of the two Qiblas, the third of the two Holy Mosques, and the destination of the Prophet's Isra (Night Journey from Makkah to the Al Aqsa Mosque), may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and it is an exclusive and undisputable right of Muslims. In this regard, the Brotherhood stresses that this criminal closure of the mosque by the occupation is not a random act, but a deliberate aggression aimed at changing the religious and historical reality of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Holy City of Jerusalem.
The MB warns against the Zionist entity’s deliberate attempt to distract the nation and ignite fires on several fronts simultaneously, in order to divert attention, deplete energies, and carry out its crimes and violations through bombing and genocide.
In this regard, the Muslim Brotherhood appreciates the statement issued by the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in this regard, as well as the statement of the foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries and every position that condemns the aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and against freedom of worship. In the same vein, the Brotherhood also calls on the Vatican to take a clear and responsible stance regarding the ongoing violations against Christians and Muslims in Jerusalem.
In fact, the gravity of the situation necessitates more than mere statements of condemnation and denunciation; it requires practical actions that are more impactful and painful for the enemy; as the Arab and Muslim world continues to be a vital lifeline for this malignant, cancerous entity. It is unbecoming of countries with such political, economic, and strategic influence to merely issue verbal condemnations while places of worship are closed and holy sites are violated.
Therefore, the MB calls for an escalating campaign, both locally and internationally, to support the Al-Aqsa Mosque and break the siege imposed on it, where Muslims and all the free people of the world demonstrate in the squares, public spaces, and in front of Mosques from next Friday (3 April) to Sunday (5 April).
The Muslim Brotherhood also calls on scholars, preachers, intellectuals, media professionals and opinion leaders to rouse the nation and unite its ranks behind the Al-Aqsa Mosque cause, so that it remains present in the nation’s conscience and awareness, and so that this aggression does not become commonplace. It also calls on them to provide support to those stationed in Jerusalem and the people of Palestine in general.
May Allah Almighty protect the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the schemes of the aggressors, and may He unite the ranks of our nation and hasten the liberation of Palestine so that it may attain its freedom and independence.

Allah is the greatest, and praise be to Allah,

Dr. Salah Abdel Haq
