Azzam Al-Hayya Has Joined the Martyrs' Procession; And the Will of Palestinians Shall Never Be Broken
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) extends its sincere condolences to Dr. Kalil Al-Hayya, Hamas' Gaza Chief Khalil Al-Hayya, as well as the Islamic Resistance Movement–Hamas and the Palestinian people, on the martyrdom of his son, Azzam Khalil Al-Hayya, and those who were with him, as they were assassinated by treacherous Zionist hands in an (Israeli) air raid yesterday, Wednesday, where Azzam was martyred upon impact today, Thursday, in the Gaza city. It is to be mentioned that "Azzam Al-Hayya" is the second of Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya’s sons that have already joined the ranks of the martyrs.
This Zionist crime – occurring amidst supposedly ongoing negotiations – is an extension of a heinous aggression that has not ceased since the ceasefire agreement (that went into effect on 10 October 2025). The crime confirms that the Zionist enemy seeks to bring the Palestinian resistance leaders to their knees, mistakenly believing that he can obtain gains that it failed to achieve militarily, by pressuring the Palestinian negotiator and trying to influence him, ignoring the nature of the patient and steadfast Palestinian people and their leaders when faith is fully mingled with their hearts. Allah Almighty says in Sural Al-Imran: ﴾ And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast. ﴿ (Al-Imran : 146). Allah willing, the enemy will fail in the battle of wills against the patience and faith of the Palestinian people.
The ascension (martyrdom) of the son of Hamas' Gaza Chief (in exile) reaffirms that the resistance leaders in the field stand at the forefront of the Palestinian people and bear the price of the jihad (struggle) for the liberation of Palestine, sacrificing themselves and their loved ones, willingly, out of faith in the duty entrusted to them and in the hope of winning a good reward from Allah Almighty.
Allah Almighty says in Sural Al-Tawbah: ﴾ Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment. ﴿ (Al-Tawbah: 111)
As we extend our condolences to Dr. Kalil Al-Hayya on this painful loss, we affirm that the great sacrifices made by the Palestinian people and their leaders will not be in vain, and that the ascension of martyr “Azzam” and his joining the ranks of the martyrs – as well as his companion Hamza Al-Sharabasy, from the sons of the Gaza Strip – will only fuel the march of resistance until Palestine, the entire Palestine, is liberated, and until the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is also liberated.
We pray to Allah Almighty to accept all the martyrs of Palestine among the righteous, to make your hearts remain firm and strong, to relieve the distress of the people Gaza, and to gladden the grieving hearts with achievement of a near victory.
